The historic architecture found on Wentworth Hill in the "Lower Corner" district of picturesque Center Sandwich includes magnificent Greek Revival homes set among great colonials, fine capes, a brick stage coach station, and traditional New Hampshire farm buildings. The estate of the Honorable Isaac Adams is clearly picturesque and unique in this setting, and a landmark. So much so, it is New Hampshire's representative in "Fifty Houses - Images from the American Road" by Sandy Sorlien, © 2002 (the image above is her photograph from the book, page 15).

Post and beam craftsmanship mark this remarkable New Hampshire estate, set off with extraordinary rough-cut stone based custom Birch ladder fences accented by eight stately wrought iron trimmed Oak swing gates flanked by stout five foot high matching granite campanile posts superbly hand cut to 16 square with finished pyramid terminus.
